OVERVIEW – 01

Challenge

Managing the quality of a large university website meant balancing thousands of webpages, decentralized content ownership, and evolving web standards. Older content often contained accessibility barriers, outdated information, broken links, and inconsistent SEO practices. The challenge was creating a sustainable process that improved digital quality while helping hundreds of CMS users maintain those standards over time.

Approach

I established a continuous digital quality workflow that combined weekly audits, data-driven prioritization, and long-term governance. Using DubBot, Semrush, and Google Analytics, I identified issues, prioritized fixes based on impact, implemented improvements across the CMS, and coordinated larger initiatives with stakeholders when needed. I also developed documentation, trained new CMS users, and led ongoing education to help prevent recurring issues before they reached production.

Outcome

Reduced tracked accessibility, SEO, and best-practice issues from over 2,700 combined findings to zero while establishing an ongoing monitoring process to address new issues each week. Completed more than 60 website audits and redesigns, helped streamline the university’s web presence from approximately 2,670 to 1,794 production webpages, and built a scalable governance program that continues to improve digital quality across the institution.
